Our Process

Step One: Communication

Communication is critical to the success of a project, and our documentation process is designed to preserve and maintain strong communication channels throughout all phases of the website development. The first meeting is designed to discuss the scope and business objectives of your planned project. All meeting notes, documents and schedules are posted on our website, accessible by all those involved in the project. Weekly status updates will be scheduled to keep your team aware of the status of your project.

After our first meeting, we will then provide you with a quote shortly. If the offer is accepted, we will send you a contract and a down-payment invoice for a portion of the total budget. We then schedule a meeting which officially begins the production process. This discovery meeting is designed to collect more detailed material about your project and your organization such as: marketing material, existing logos, color preferences, favourite site links, text, photos, etc.

Step Two: Design Examples

Taking feedback from the website design questionnaire we will provide for you, we will create initial website design concepts or website layouts based on your branding and design requirements. Combined with your responses and our expertise in Web design and website usability, we'll design page templates and talk about any related features. Once you select a design, we'll complete up to three revisions to ensure that you're getting not only what you want, but also what will work best for your website visitors.

Step Three: Development Stage

We digest all of this information, process it, and develop a cohesive plan for the development of your project. We define the navigation, style, technology, marketing objectives and features which will all be implemented during the production process. We will prepare concept mock-ups for your logo, website, and/or marketing material based on your tastes, specifications and objectives. We review the mock-ups and give you the opportunity to offer feedback before the we take the process a level deeper.

Once you approve the site plan and the design mock-ups, we will then create code that will power the website. While the website is being developed you will be kept informed of the status of progress on a weekly basis.

Step Four: Quality Assurance

Once the coding of the site is complete, we will begin extensive testing. During this phase, we will test the site's functions and appearance in a variety of browsers, including IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. If no changes or bug fixes are needed, we move on to the site approval and deployment.

Step Five: Site Approval & Deployment

We will meet with you to show you the final product and make and other necessary changes. Once the final payment is received, we then transfer your site from our testing servers to either your hosting provider or to a hosting provider that we set up for you, test the functionality again, and then your site becomes live and available to the public. We will optimize your website for search engines and, if necessary, train you on the operation of your website.
